Introduction: Jack is a console and media-based CDripper. It supports cdparanoia and various MP3 encoders. You can even rip from a cdrdao-generated CD image. Emphasis is on failure-safeness and ease of use. Jack can resume its work if interrupted, and it can schedule encoding in reaction to system load. It also keeps an eye on available hard drive space. Freedb query is also supported.
